About UNIDOR

The History Behind Us

Universal Intervention and Development Organization (UNIDOR) is a South Sudanese Faith Based Organization founded and registered on 22nd April 2004. Originally established as Upper Nile Initiative and Development Organisation (UNIDO), we are legally registered under RRC registration number 182.

UNIDOR was founded with a clear mandate: to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities in South Sudan through faith-driven, locally-led humanitarian and development interventions. Over two decades, we have grown from a small Upper Nile initiative into a nationally recognised organisation operating across all ten states of South Sudan.

We are a member of the South Sudan NGOs Forum, GNDR, Charter for Change (C4C), and NEAR Network. UNIDOR is Co-Lead for Localization under the Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA-SSJR) and serves as the Localization Advisory Group (LAG) Chair representing South Sudanese National NGOs globally.
